Nullarbor Expeditions.
For some months I have been working to build a website to document the VSA expeditions to the Nullarbor plain.
Since year 2000 Ken Boland has taken an ultralight aircraft to survey and search for blowholes, dolines and caves.
Nicholas White has arranged access to private property, State parks and aborigonal reserves.
Daryl Carr loads data to GPS for known caves in the search area and possible caves from Ken’s search at the start of each day. He then downloads locations to computer at the end of each day.
Margaret James calculates the provisions for meals and organises who will purchase and who will bring it.
Many others contribute in different ways by typing data, gathering wood, cooking meals, maintaining vehicles and sorting photographs. Participants ages vary from primary school age to near 80 years. Michael Curry has brought his young ones and they bring curiosity, excitement and enthusiasm.
The web site can be found with any search engine. Look for “nullarborcaves.com”
